Where Our Minds Trail Off To

After one of the longest days she had had in a while, Yun walked up to her front door instantly feeling calmer than she had felt all day. She didn't notice Kevin's shoes in the doorway, which struck some confusion. She immediately marched to the bedroom to see if maybe he had fallen asleep fully clothed, legs dangling off the side of the bed, barely making it, after also having a long day at work. The room was empty.
After roaming through the entire apartment, Yun collapsed onto the sofa, her body reaching an energy level of zero. She started wondering where Kevin might be. He couldn't have gone to the gym as he had just gone yesterday, that she was certain of. Is it possible that he got caught up at work? It was unlikely, she thought, as he would have called...afterall it was protocol. Although, he had been working on a project with Julie this week, he might have gotten carried away with her. Yun always thought Julie had the loveliest smile. She wondered what Kevin thought of Julie's smile, and about her smile. She pictured Kevin across a desk from Julie, not paying attention to whatever she was going on about, distracted by her sex appeal. Then she imagined the opposite, listing all the reasons why Julie would be attracted to him.
After vividly envisioning the two of them at a restaurant, Julie rubbing her leg against Kevins, not finishing their meals and rushing to her house, where he passionately kisses her as they stumble up the stairs and into her bedroom, where they fall onto the bed, and he makes love to her, tenderly running his hands all over her ivory body, and finally she lets out a cry of relief as he gives his final thrusts, Yun snaps out it.
After being confused by the noise she just heard, Yun walks to the kitchen. Everything appears fine. She feels cold all of a sudden and realizes her shirt is wet from sweat. She makes her way to her bedroom where, to her surprise and consolation, she finds Kevin passed out, one shoe still on, legs dangling off the bed.
